WELLAND, Ont. — Two Canadians are out of Russian prisons, but it's not clear if they are able to leave the country.

Early Friday, Greenpeace said all those charged with hooliganism for taking part in a protest on an oil platform in the Arctic could leave Russia.

"Upon posting of the bond, the vessel and all persons are allowed to leave the territory of Russia," Greenpeace tweeted Friday.

But a family member says that's not the case.

Paul Ruzycki, 48, of Port Colborne, Ont., and Alexandre Paul, 36, of Montreal walked out of detention centres Friday after being granted bail earlier this week.
